Queen check
« on: April 22, 2010, 06:45:33 pm »
Locating the queen on thought to be queenless starter hive

 - Day1 - Introduced a queen in a cage with a cork plug, she was alive on day three and the same color but smaller. - Day3 - replaced plug with marshmallow. - Day6 - she was no where to be found. Capped queen cells were present, left a few, applied some feed and closed it up. Including the time span between day 3 and day 6 - this check was done 27 to 30 days later.

what yah think?

yes, I'm happy it worked it out  :)

For those that maybe questioning the location, for now I'm not too worried about it, as it offers some protection. I do have some in direct sun but wind could be a problem there. I'll deal with it either way. this was the best picture I could currently up with.
