Welcome Debbie!  You can learn a bunch here!  Try to find a local beekeeper who is willing to let you shadow them...that is worth it's price in gold!  Good luck!  You might want to update the location on your profile...don't be too vague!  There may be beeks within a few miles that will take you under their wing.  Good luck!

Welcome to the forum, Debbie.  See if there is a local bee club also.  I started going to the monthly meeting a  year before I got bees.  Had bees for a while before I found this place, have learned a lot, still a lot more to learn.  Good luck on the adventure, it is addictive.

There are many ways/styles to beekeeping and it can get costly.

Before you let anyone take you under their wing decide if their style suits the way you may want to keep bees and why.

Just my one cent!
Can somebody tell me where I can find a foundation tree?

Welcome to the forums, Debbie. Please, please, PLEASE find a beekeepers association and join! If you're having trouble finding one, look up your state association or your university extension office for help.

Lots of places offer classes in the winter or early spring (in my area, at least); if you can find someone to let you tag along on hive inspections this summer, all the better.
