Bragg on my wife
« on: May 01, 2009, 10:47:29 pm »
Sorry, just got too. First time ever. She went and helped me load hives in my truck tonight to bring back here to the house. And fussed at me cause I took the front of the hives instide of her when she was suited with gloves. I took about 6 stings on the wrist and arm. No biggie if she will help me move hives, be gone tomorrow.

mine builds frames, installs foundation, hives swarms when i am away and they show up, helps me with cut outs, and would help in hive moving if her back would tolerate it!

she is almost a better beek than i am

she really does enjoy the bees but she has no fear!  she pets guard bees on the landing board and will sit between 2  hives ( big hives ) just to watch her babies.
and she does this without wearing any gear.  usually while in shorts and a t shirt.
this just scares the crap out of me when she does this but she gets stung much less than i do.

just gotta love a woman like that :-D

can't leave the husbands out!!   mine has helped do cutouts, move hives, and catch swarms.  on the last cutout, he took the majority of the stings....like a MAN!!   :-D  nothing beats a great partner!

johnny, frame bunch of bee pics and put them around the house.  you can begin to desensitize her!
Someone really ought to tell them that the world of Ayn Rand?s novel was not meant to be aspirational.
