Title: Gave a lecture today
Post by: WhipCityBeeMan on February 07, 2009, 03:21:14 pm
I gave a lecture this morning to 8 8th grade girls.  It went well.  Some asked what is going on with the honey bees in regards to CCD.  Most were interested for the 45 minutes.  I had some varroa under a microscope which was interesting and had another sport some beek equipment like my veil, jacket, gloves and smoker.  I had some samples of dead workers that each one got to look at.  The event was specifically for girls so they like the fact that most of the hive were made up of girls too.

And of course, honey for everyone!
