Hailing from Whatcom County, Wa. in the PNW
« on: October 24, 2010, 09:13:47 pm »
Hello!!

Just discovered this site. We are on our 2nd winter with 2 hives now. First hive was Carniolans, and we caught a swarm in the spring in June, from our own hive.

At any rate we have had many adventures, but have much more to learn!! Hope to learn from other bee keepers and from reading through the posts!

Cheers!

Hallbera, welcome to our forum, wonderful that you found us.  The adventure into the life of the honeybee, and exciting road to travel down.  The honeybees have away about them, they hold us deeply beneath their spell, we are all there.  Nice to hear that you caught a swarm that came from your own colony, many times people don't even know that a swarm has been cast from their own colony, good on you.  Stick around, we love new members, lots of places here to tell your stories, tales and adventures, and also to learn new things.  Ask your questions, questions are wonderful and are what make this world go round.  Have that most wonderful day, full of love and beautiful health.  Cindi

Welcome, Hallbera!  Nice to have another member this close to home!  I, too, started with a bee class, and am continuing the learning process through Pierce County Beekeepers Association.

But it has been this site, with it's wealth of knowledge from beekeepers all over the country, that has taught me the most!  Watch out, you'll spend more time here than you think, it's addictive!

Glad to have you aboard!

Hey cool, another member from the NW!!!  I'm south of you in Buckley, neighbors to AliciaH over in Enumclaw.  You're pretty close to Brian Bray over in Anacortes.  Spend some time on this forum and you'll get to know him.  Hope you guys aren't getting to hammered by the snow.  Saw on the news that you've got about 3" already.  Supposed to snow down here in the South Sound today too.

Welcome to the forum!!!
