There are numerous reasons for it but mostly, I just had a daughter, and I firmly believe that raising her around bees will instill in her a lot of great values: symbiosis of humans and nature, taking care of those things smaller than us, the importance of agriculture and organic farming practices, work ethic, each individual has a purpose, the importance of community and each person's separate value to society, etc. and of course the amazing properties of bee pollen, royal jelly, propolis, and honey!
