Queen bee ???
« on: May 04, 2013, 10:49:04 pm »
I was posed a question about the needs of a queen bee and I wasn't sure of the answer so here is the question. Please help with answers.

Does the queen leave the hive to relieve her self?

Told them I didn't know but would ask you good folk here.

Thanks

David

No.
She is "tended" to by the other bees. Even for that.

Her Highness Has maids in the form of worker bees. She never leaves again after her mating flight on her own with one or two exceptions. Swarm, or superseded, or human. make that 3. ;) d2

Thanks Guys,

That was my assumption but I really hate to assume anything. Usually gets me into trouble.   :-D

Thanks again
