Greetings from Dresden Germany
« on: February 01, 2009, 04:03:14 pm »
Hello, My wife, daughter and I live in Dresden Germany.
I have wanted to bee keep for seven years and I think I can be able to now. I am excited to start and I'm swimming in all of the information available on this forum and others.
I am of the Top Bar method/philosophy camp because of its simplicity and added benefits.
I'm not looking to make monetary profit, but rather the joy of having them in the garden and someday the option of giving the honey away.  :)

Welcome.  I look forward to hearing about your experiences and how beekeeping in Germany differs from the States.
Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.

Elliott, welcome to our forum.  It is wonderful when we have partners from different parts of the world, such as where you live, we are all one big partner in the passion to keep bees.

You will love to have the bees in your garden, giving away the beautiful and golden sweet product that the bees create.  Your gardens will flourish with the work that the bees unknowingly do.  This forum will be a place where you can spend quality time, learn lots, ask question, a place to tell your stories, tales and experiences.  Lean on us to help you, to offer you advice, we have many, many very knowledgeable members here, and we all love to help and listen.  Stick around.  Have a most wonderful and awesome life, day, attract great health.  Cindi
