Title: Mean, Mean Bees!
Post by: blanc on May 09, 2013, 10:53:31 pm
Did a removal today that reminded me of one JP posted in a video of an external colony last year some time. Bad enough I was on a ladder 20 ft up doing the cutout and those girls did not let up. Had to walk pretty good ways to shake em before we could get back in the truck. Kept the neighbors inside all day too. I have two hot hives I will be moving in the woods somewhere this week for sure! They are good honey producers so I will tolerate them away from my main yard for now. Hate doing cutouts covered with bee. :( Oh well it comes with the territory!  ;)

Ok so I made a mistake and didn't look at the gender indicator.   :-\

Just going by the name. Thought blanc was short for Blanch.

So sorry, my mistake. LOL

You are one bad dude!   :-D

Good for you blanc!  Pissy bees and ladders are never a fun combo!!     How much comb/brood were you able to salvage?  Did you find her majesty?   X:X

If they're as mean as you say I would requeen...I don't care how much honey they make, I don't want them mating with the nice bees in the area!
