Ah, my forum friends, you all maka me laffa!! I had to sign in under a different user name (CynthiaM) cause I couldn't sign in with my old Cindi (with an "i" name, probably password got lost too or something). So honestly, here I am. Check out the introduction, as I have reintroduced myself. If I can ever figure out how to log in with Cindi again, I shall do that thing...
I have been checking out a few posts, and when I saw the one about Brian D. Bray, I thought I would take a peek and looky what I found. A bunch of people talking about me, smiling that big secret smile. It is nice to know that I have been missed, hugs...
Now back to Brian (I have to remember that it is not always about me, me, me  ). Brian. What has Brian been up to? Does anyone keep touch with him outside of Beemaster here? I know some were very close to him, so what's up. I know he had lots of health concerns, and he was in so much pain so much. Please hope that he is well and that he too, is just busy with other things in his life. Someone wanna take the plunge and send an email and ask him to remember us and come for a visit? Anyone???
Ya, just been busy with our new life, of almost 3 years (moved from southwestern BC (Canada) to the north Okanagan, about 500 km north of our old home). Buzzbee, always lived in Canada. thought it was cute when you said in post that you thought I had moved up to Canada, that struck my giggle chain for surely ;)
Ya, just been busy. Hubby and I retired from being foster parents, just me and him now and our dogs. We live on our oldest Daughter and Husband's farm. I am chicken lady now, smiling. The bees are basically on the back burner until this spring. Got a good enough handle on what I need to learn about chickens, so can re-focus on the bees. I don't do anything small, and now am able to split myself up a little more. Getting back to familiarity with bees and can keep on keepin' on with heritage chicken breeding. Raise buff orpington and cochins (in blue, black and splash). got some very nice lines I have improved on very much, and these are honkin' lovely birds. Has taken a while, and so much more work yet to do with bettering the breeds to type, but will one day get there. Working on cochins with yellow shanks and legs. That is my biggest genetic thing these days with that breed.
Ya, just farming, food, gardens, dogs, chickens. Daughter has 5 horses on this property. Could ride my brains out if I wanted to, but that was something that I have left in the past too. That was for the years, oh so many years ago, when I wore a younger woman's clothes. Like when I was a kid. Never got the love of riding back after I had my children. But my girls. Oh my girls. At 43 and 38, they are in full swing with what they want to do with horses. That is trail riding, and eventing. Yep. Eventing. Oldest gal and her Husband travel all the time with horses in tow, to horsey events. I think they are nuts, but oh well, they think me nuts too.
So ya, should not have taken over this thread that was about Brian, but just had to console you all, hee, hee. So you don't worry. There is nothing wrong with me. I have not been offended by anyone's comments to me here (and actually can't think of anytime that I was offended), so not sure what was meant here by that, but that is OK too. All is well. Just a busy girl, been hanging out more on chicken forums as I have needed to study and research and learn and live chickens....hoping this year, as I said to begin to live bees and chickens too. Have that beautiful day, full of health, love and friends, Cindi
