The queen was fertilized by 10% African drones?

That is resonable.

At least the article reported that the beekeeper "scooped out" the bees (and clearly took them home or somewhere) instead of killing the bees that killed the dog....nice for the world not to think that bees (even with 10% "killer bees") don't themselves have to be put to death....

yellow press is the worst thing that can happen to you, so from this 10% ANYTHING is possible. like you mentioned 10% african drones, the whole african bees population in that area is estimated 10% or whatever else can come to your mind.

They must have had a lot of fun counting all 50,000 to figure out which were and weren't KILLER bees.

you haven't seen a hive infected with killer bees i see.
it's easy to count them, each killer bee has a big K sign on its back.

Maybe it's a EHB hive that's just infested with killer bees?

As in the bees were trying to take over the hive? Or do you mean something else?

>As in the bees were trying to take over the hive?
That crossed my mind, but it was how they worded it that sounded like that.
