Just split to make 4. Hope they all turn out.

I have three. One I removed from a rental house that I purchased last summer and two new packages this year. All three in different locations. Steve
-
Right now we have three, due to the death of one package, but we've just brought a hive over to a club member who will put a swarm in it for us as soon as that happens around here (we're actually third on the list).
We'll have three more hives up in Maine in mid-May.
So, put us down for seven.

-
I lost 1 hive over the winter so now i have 2,also have 2 packages ordered and should be here next week.
However i have alot of spare parts in case i find a swarm...
-
1 right now. 3 more by this time next week.
-
2 as of now but have supers ready to catch swarms, hopefully in next week or so.
Both doing nicely but still feeding after last freeze, maybe honey flow not as plentiful this year.
-
I will have a total of two hives this year, getting my first one next weekend an another in the month of may. :-D
-
I have 3 so far this year.....
1 full hive
2 nucs
-
I have 2 hives now but will work my way to 10 I hope :-D
-
I have 14 Italian hives and 3 Russian hives....
I have to get the wife a bee suit...she'll like it regardless of what she says now....LOL :-D
-
Five if you count the observation hive. Three Commies and two Italians.
-
Eight
-
I started with eight hives that overwintered very well.
I have nine new ones from captured swarms in March 07-doing well.
I have two new ones from cutouts this past weekend - strong hives.
So total hives at this time would be 19 hives.
Funny how your hives multiply so fast when your having fun!
-
10 hives and 2 nucs.
-
5 hives for now, but currently working on "hardware" in order to make another 2-3 nucs this year
maybe I'll get even some swarms (this year seem to be very swarmy)...

Alright, alright Ted, :) The hive count at this time is 130 hives and 22 nucs. Now that could change at any moment for i have not been to check all the splits i made but only had 2 so far out of 50 did not take very well and are dwindleing down to nothing which i will fix this weekend. It has been a lot of hard work and thankfully my two sons are great helpers.
-
Hey Robo,
You are stealing all those feral hives from tree branches. Speak up.
Sincerely,
Brendhan
-
We have 3 hives this year - 2 that survived the winter (one was originally a nuc and the other was started from a package) and we just bought one more nuc last weekend.
We were so excited that our original 2 made it through this past crazy winter! :-D :-D
Our first nuc is really doing well. The one that was the package is hanging in there! Hopefully the new nuc will catch up quickly if there is anything left to forage after the Easter weekend deep freeze. :-x

2 hives. Both overwintered just fine. I am about to start an obversation hive so my count will be 3 soon.
I am currently doing a trapping removal, but that hive will go to a friend who wants to start beekeeping this year.
-
UPDATE: I am now at 26 and climbing :) , from 15 to 26 in a little over a week ;) , will be over 40 soon.....and i havent spent a dime on bee's or queens,
-
Watch out PDMattox,TWT's coming through!! :) :) :) :)
-
I have one hive... and am unsure of its strength, however I can see myself with 2 hives.
Bee1
-
By THIS TIME next week, I'll have 2 colonies going!!! Great to be back in the BEESNESS again :)
-
correction, 27 now, got a swarm out chimney, glad i have a 15 foot hose on my bee-vac....
-
My number has change three times since my last post. Cut outs cause it to go up, combing them causes it to go down. Right now the number is high enough that the wife is making me move a few off the property to a friends. So now I will have three more hives on another piece of property.
Robo: I am still waiting to here from you.
Sincerely,
Brendhan
-
5 for me,but 3 cutouts to do this week and swarm season is just 3 weeks in so LOOKOUT!
-
my wife says 2 two many!
-
Hey Ted I just counted and I have 26 as well. I bet I'll have over 40 by the end of the season. I have 50 hive bodies on the way and I need 50 mediums and 50 bottom boards.
Scott

25 heading to 50 by spring.
-
I'm blown away at the GUSTO this post has received and the surge in growth everyone is aiming for! Best wishes and I hope you all meet or exceed your goals :)
-
Update: 3 (Just got back from a swarm call a bit ago.) :)
-
28 hives , 11 nucs with queen cells, fixing to graft 45 cells, we will see what happens come fall, might even do some fall splits.... winter will be interesting to see what I end up with.... but dought I even catch maddox apiaries ;)
-
As of 5-2-07, 8 pm...One hive!
-
i have 6 hives and 3 nucs...if you don't have nucs, GET SOME!~it's helps so much.
-
I counted again this morning and there is only one. I must be doing something wrong, you would think after 2 years there would be more.
-
LOL
My first year. I have one packege installed, 2 nucs ordered and a few squirrel box colonies I have been asked to collect. I figure 3-5 by summer.
-
3 Hives with equipment for one more now. Would like to hold at five by next year. Terrible weather here...plenty of pollen but no nectar. Not time for the split yet!
