Hello from North Carolina
« on: December 24, 2004, 11:43:58 am »
Just wanted to post a hello message.

A friend and I are going to start keeping bees this spring, so I thought Id drop in and pick your collective brains on the issue.

I dont want to say I know nothing about it, because that will steal the heat off another post.

Please just prepare yourselves for inane, sometimes silly questions from me.

These forums have already been a big help, and I appreciate the opportunity to join and share my experiences with all of you.

Welcome Aboard Steve:

Plenty of room for opinions and ideas in every forum here - don't ever feel suppressed or opressed in these forums :)

I can't imagine WHICH topic you are talking about "taking the heat off of" lol. But as you have probably read, there are only two rules in here that matter, and "the freedom of speech" is a good friend of the forums!

Again, have fun - please post often and I hope we are able to help as you enter and become engaged in this great hobby!!!

As a wise man once told me, the only stupid question is an unasked one!  :D

Their flag to Aprils breeze unfurled
Here once the embattled farmers stood
And fired the shot heard round the world

Hello,

I'm here in NC and was hoping to participate in the NC State program but was not selected.  No big deal.  I bought 2 new hives last week and will probably buy 2 more.   I bought my equipment from a local beekeeper that is also willing to be my mentor, great stuff.  I'll be assembling my first 2 hives this weekend to get ready for 2 packages that I'll hopefully receive.

 Thanks for having this forum.
Marc
