These two colonies didn't make it
« on: January 17, 2010, 08:38:57 pm »
It's been too quiet for too long in front of these hives.  First winter losses.  These colonies were my first started in '07.  Strongest looking colony was completely full of empty cells.  Looked at every frame closely.  Other colony had a medium super on top full of capped honey.  Didn't have time to look further into that one today.  :?

Thats a shame..... but I do love your top Bar hives in the back.
To bee or not to bee that is the question I wake up to answer that every morning...

TBH beekeeping has been lots of fun.  Put a swarm in one last July.  Viewing window has kept it interesting without being too invasive.
