Where to get a Hand crank Uncapper
« on: March 20, 2013, 08:41:26 pm »
Hi there People and others, does anyone out there know where to get a Hand crank Uncapper in Australia.
The only ones I've seen are fully sick motorised monsters.

I have seen one made by Brushy Mountain in the Good ole USA which I really like but I can find anything even close here.

So please let me know where I could get one from.

Cheers
Steve

The one you speak about is not all that great a unit.  The better way to go that I keep threatening to build is the stationary vee shaped, steam heated blade that you slide your frame over for uncapping.  They are popular in Europe.  Finski do you have a picture or link of what I am talking about??

I'm with Vance, before I bought a hand cranked decapper, I would buy or build that V shaped unit. That unit would leave your honey a lot cleaner than any of the other decappers I have seen. It also looks very fast.
Is there anyone out there that makes them?
