Title: mosquito spray
Post by: WLF1961 on May 28, 2008, 08:36:08 pm
Has anyone ever had problems with planes spraying for mosquitos? I walked outside yesterday evening just in time to see the plane fly right over the top of our house which is where we have our bees also.

Depends on what they are spraying. By now, if it affected your bees, you'd see dead bees outside your hive. If you're lucky, they spray the b.t. that works on mosquito larvae (the same stuff people use in backyard ponds) which is organic and only affects mosquitos and their relatives.

If they spray during the day, they tend to kill a lot of bees.  If they spray right at dark, it usually doesn't have much impact.
