JP And Schawee Remove Bees From Diesel Engine-Part One

This was a very interesting removal. The bees were in a side tank that is part of the cooling system of this engine. We had to remove the top plate to access the colony.

They were a little bit pissy, just enough to warrant protective gear for most of the removal.

Stay tuned for part two, you won't want to miss it, there's a nice little surprise in there.

Oh, and Schawee was an HOUR late this morning.  :-D

I hope we get some close up of the hair cut.    :-D   And the reason nobody ran for the ice cream truck, I think they may have had shakes for breakfast. 

JP, with such a late cut out, do you ever pull frames from good hives to put in with these newer hives to help them through the winter.

Yes, I do. In fact did that just yesterday with the Shell Beach bees.

I love watching your videos!  I had to laugh when Shawee bent down to look inside the tank from the bottom and JP started smoking the heck out of it from the top!  Poor Shawee!

allen,i did say to jp that i know they don't have any shakes in that truck.thats why i never made a dash for the truck :-D
