Thistle Honey - Any good?
« on: July 15, 2009, 11:09:34 am »
Right we are over flowing with thistles. Next to my hives are several large, uncultivated fields of thistles, with numerous blue/purple flowers on each plant. Surprisingly, I haven't seen the bees working the thistles hard, but there isn't much blooming in the area right now. So I expect they will be forced to work them soon. Having said that....... what should I expect?

Regards,

He who would gather honey must bear the sting of the bees.

It is better to keep ones mouth shut and be thought of as a fool than to open ones mouth and in so doing remove all doubt.
