Title: Genesee County Michigan checking in

I'm as new as a 3 day old honey bee egg but I am SO EXCITED about my bees!
I have my hive in my backyard and the neighbors are shocked that I even have them when they find out. They wouldn't know if I didn't tell them!
The bees are trained to fly high and my only regret is that I did not start two hives instead of one.

I haven't joined any local bee clubs yet but I SCOUR the online forums, drinking up the info!

That's the strange thing. These bees have me SO excited but when things go wrong I feel SO bad. It's silly because when it comes down to it, these things are bugs. I never really cared about bugs before. But these  - I care DEEPLY about!

Maybe things change as the years go by and experience mounts.
