This past year the power company came in with some new blood, apparently (greenhorns!) and took out three blueberry bushes that were planted in the 70's on our property in Ms. Managed to get some re-embursement, but something like that can never really be replaced.

What's going on in your garden?

Yeah, I think that would make me cry.  :'(  So would the blueberry bushes.

There's always next year.  Then it will be the sewer though, right?

We have some pipelines around here that are decades old built in the 50s at least by Texas Gas Co.
A few years back they changed hands and the new owners started to maintain the right of ways after all these years of neglect. Oh, and development also.
At least one nice subdivision sets across the line and those folks went ballistic when they started cutting trees and mowing down bushes. Went right through several back yards.
The old line is showing its age though. There's been one explosion and a big leak so far.
I was born about 100 years too early, or to late.
