I live in south eastern Idaho. I have been waiting and waiting and waiting for my bee packages which aren't here yet. (Maybe early June) I am starting with no drawn comb, zero, nada. Do you think this late in the year they would be able to draw out enough comb,store enough honey and build up enough to survive the winter?  I figure they would have june and july (Aug is pretty scarce for forage here) and goldenrod in mid Sept. thats about it.  I have doubts as to whether I would be wasting my time, maybe I should wait ANOTHER year. Am I worrying too much?

Feed them syrup all summer.
