I'm the proud owner of a bee tree.

The day before yesterday my grandson and I were in the back yard at around 5:30pm when we saw a pretty good size swarm flying about 15ft off the ground. At first we thought that one of my hives had swarmed but soon realized that these were not from my hives.
Anyway,  the swarm began to move slowly over the house. We followed hoping that they would land low enough to collect easily. As we continued watching they landed on the side of one of the oak trees in the front yard about 10 or12ft up. We noticed that the mass of bees looked like it was getting smaller.We got up close and realized that they were going into an opening in the trunk. Well it looks like they have found a new home.
This was something else to witness. It really caught the attention of my 10yr old grandson. Who knows where that could lead.
Just thought I'd try to share this experience with you folks.

ya, way cool. when I read the title I was thinking of a beebee tree, and that still would of been cool....been thinking about getting one of those myself.
