Title: Hello from Western NY
Post by: kaz052 on November 02, 2011, 03:22:12 pm
Hi all. I'm a first year beek from Western NY. Just south of Buffalo. We have 3 hives installed in late April from packages. One queen was DOA, and the other two requeened themselves during the summer. Looks like our first year has been somewhat successful. All hives are strong, one even gave us 50lbs of honey its first year. Hopefully, we make it through our winter successfully. Were planning on installing 3 more hives next year and doing some splits if we can.

Thanks for letting me join in on the forum!
