The top entrance ones have cleaner pollen and are easier to make.

Is it a pollen trap? does it work?

Will the bees even use top entrance Pollen traps?
I drilled holes in some of my top brood boxes(2nd from the bottom) for ventilation or just another entrance but they would't use it. How do i know they are go'no use top entrance pollen traps?
Thanks

You would need to train them to a top entrance first.  Then put up with a traffic jam for a few days, but they will use them.

A whip and a chair usually works--does for lions anyway.    Just remember that if you turn your back on them you might get stung.
