My favorite bee is Susan.

Scott
"In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag...We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language...And we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."

I like Italians my winters are mild around here and they like to lay year round so, they have something to feed their young because I have good weather pretty much year round so my hives thrive. that is my reason for Italians. the rest of you are smartasses but that is why I like this forum.

My wife loves the bright yellow Italian look.  I know it is a bit frivolous, but when you are not keeping them for a living you can afford to take the time to smell the roses, as they say.

I tend to like catching ferel swarms. They have been surviving with no medication and I don't medicate my bees...we get along great.

Amen!  2nd favorite, low hanging primary swarms.

Not really picky as to what breed they are or what they look like as long as they perform well and survive.

My favorite Bee was my mother, that was her given name Bee.  Bea comes from Beatrice or Bealuh, but since my mother's full name was Bealuh Bee she was a double Bee.
