Randy,
I too like this movie, in fact I own the dvd. I don't know if you heard of this show called " next ". It's an mtv show. Caught it the other day. If you are familiar with it, you know it's  generally a  juvenile dating game. What drew me in to this episode however was that the young lady who was to select a date from a handful of young men, on her first date, I believe it was, she & the date suited up in bee suits and removed frames of honey from her hives, extracted the honey, then went on a picnic & enjoyed some of the honey. She was also quite a young honey herself. By the way, the young man held tight & she picked him for a second date.

I've seen this many times too - enjoyable movie, showing the struggles of a dysfunctional family, with a very short subplot of beekeeping.

It was good though to see some REAL WORLD beekeeping gear used in a moderate sized small family business. Seeing the hive lifts, etc., in the background are interesting.
