Title: late order for package bees
Post by: drmwarden on April 13, 2005, 01:29:34 pm
It's late to be ordering package bees, but my neighbor just discovered that he lost his bees (to starvation; it was a weak colony) over the winter.  I was considering setting up a second hive for myself (he was using my extra equipment) but when I called Rossman they told me that they can't ship until May, and because I live in Maryland they would not ship them guaranteed live.  The person at Rossman't couldn't tell my why they would not quarantee live deliver;  I'm not sure if it is because of the heat.  Does anyone have any comment/ recommendation/ or suggestions?  Thanks.
