Does anyone on here own any carnivours plants.
-
I know they've been discussed, can't remember who, though, but Cody (Nepenthes) comes to mind.....

I found this forum through a carnivouros plant forum I belong to. I own Neps, Sarrecina, and VFT's and a few others. I like them quite a bit.
Sincerely,
Brendhan

Ya, My brother belongs to the world of carnivorus forum. I own saracenia and right now we have a little drosera that we sprouted from seed. My grandma just picked us up some venus fly traps in north carolina to, but i was wondering since the venus fly traps were in a Lowes store in north carolina they have not wint dormant. What will this do to them and should we still put them into a dormancy when we get them. Shes going to be home saturday.

I have pitcher plants, drosera and VFT's growing by my koi pond. If the plants were bought in a Lowes they are used to being inside, shipped from a greenhouse somewhere. I would not put them outside where you are right now, keep em in the house, actually I don't know if they would make it through a Michigan winter even if acclimated. They will probably be stressed & not taken care of correctly at a Lowes so will need TLC!
Good luck

:-D - The word I think you are looking for is - "carnivorous".
I've been growing and propagating Carnivorous Plants almost as long as I've been keeping honeybees.
-
ya, i ust got into it this last year except there is these little bugs in my basement that are about the size of the tip of a pen that keep setting my flytraps off and some of them escpae.

Do you know how to tissue culture.
-
terraforums is the best US based CP forum EVER.
I only recommend that site. It's very friendly. Similar to Beemaster.com
TC is very complex unless you do allot of research (kind of like keeping bees haha), you need very sterile environments.
