On which days do the queens wings develop?
Will you also include resources be it experience, or refference to literature (published or electronic). I consider both valid, and just want to know where the "facts" come from.

So basically you want me to do your research and prove to you what I say. Try a google search on :

Peruse the results. Look for things that mention days. The wings develop between day 13 and 15 which is why you should handle queen cells gently.

Look at the chart on development
Most of my "facts" come from 40 years of keeping bees and reading bee books. I don't remember exactly where they all came from anymore... but google is a simple enough way to find them. A little bit tedious, but if you stay at it you can find whatever answer you are looking for.

First wings are tiny buds. Then in some stage a queen pump air into wings (like other insects) and wings get its final size.
At this stage a pupa is white.
Then wings and cuticle dry up.
It varies quite much, when the queen come out from its pupa. Some are quite soft. Swarming queens seems to delay out coming two days and are at once ready to fly.
When wings are in bud stage, they are sensitive to disturbance. So are legs, antennae and cuticle. What ever part of queen may get damages when you shake frames at wrong time. Cutting queen cells produce often damaged queens.

When the queen cell looks like that (dark tip), it is quite near to emerge.
Wings will expand during this period.
If cap has a tiny hole, a ready queen is then inside the cell.

Anyone who spends any time on this forum knows and appreciates your level of knowledge, as well as the contributions you take the time to make and share on this forum.

No not at all,
I was going to answer the question but decided not to bother because I learned much information from an 88 year old queen breeding bee keeper called Ole and couldn't provide a www link.
Its a bit odd to demand where the facts come from before they are written, comes across like the information I produce and share is suspicious even beefore I've offered it.

The answer was appropriate under the circumstance. Asking for help and acting like the help is suspect is not good manners in my opinion.
And I always strive to be polite. ( until someone deserves otherwise)
