I hear it tastes a lot like chinook.

Scott
"In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag...We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language...And we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."

Most people smoke it because it has allot of fat. But if you BBQ it the fat will burn off or drain in to the pan. It taste great but when you got a silver salmon you got what's good.

That fat is probably good for you if its omega 3. I like to saute' salmon in olive oil and butter. I like the skin on and scaled, get it crunchy, its real good. Season to taste.

I know down here, only really big fish, (we don't have salmon) they tell you to drain the fish fat way because of the mercury that builds up in older fish.

Excellent salmon is to take smoke salmon and break it up with a fork. So you don't get the unwanted bones. Use your normal dressings as you would if you are to make tuna fish sandwiches. Mix, put on sandwich bread and yum. I love having salmon in the great lakes.

Good salmon don't need to be cooked.
