Getting Started outside Philadelphia
« on: April 14, 2011, 03:46:11 pm »
Greetings to all the keepers.

We are Little Acre Farmstead located just outside of Skippack, PA (near Philadelphia).  My wife and I have recently moved out of the center of Philadelphia and are creating a small working mini-farm on a 1.5 acre piece of land.  We have been wanting to get into beekeeping for a while, but just not had the opportunity.  The plans for our garden this year are massive, and we will need the help of the bees to get the most out of our garden.

I am looking forward to learning as much as I can about beekeeping and positive environmental stewardship.  Thanks!

I'm getting started, inside Philadelphia.  There's a new Philadelphia Beekeepers Guild, started a couple of years ago, that's friendly and helpful.
