Title: Investment plan?
Post by: pdmattox on December 18, 2007, 12:01:07 am
If you had purchased $1000.00 of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00.

With Enron, you would have $16.50 left of the original $1000.

With WorldCom, you would have less than $5.00 left.

If you had purchased $1000.00 of Delta Air Lines stock you would have $49.00 left.

If you had purchased United Airlines, you would have nothing left.

But, if you had purchased $1000.00 worth of beer one year ago, drank all the beer, then turned in the cans for the aluminum recycling refund you would have $214.00.

Based on the above, the best current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.

This is called the 401-Keg Plan.

I chose to invest in a college education for my only son. He tells me that it will pay off for me when he makes that "educated" decision about what nursing home to put me in and how to manage my remaining assets.

I think I will switch to the 401-keg plan.

Steve, ha, ha, hee, hee.  Well, top this one.  My oldest Daughter told me that she would wipe the drool off my face and my Husbands when that time came.  Her Partner told us that when we became too forgetful that he was going to send us on a one-way trip to the Bahamas.  We could experience a new day each and every day, hee, hee.  Oh those dang children, hee, hee.  Donecha just love them!!!  And to think I wiped her butt as a baby, ha!!!!  Have a wonderful and beautiful day.  Cindi
