Title: Losing Count
Post by: Jerrymac on May 31, 2009, 02:41:49 pm
Told my wife a couple of day ago I was the worst at keeping records. No wait. You would have to keep records to be the worst don't you think?
So anyway. I have lost count of my chickens. Forget how many I am suppose to have.  :idunno:

And now I have nine more. As of now nine of the ten eggs a hen was sitting on has hatched.  :-D

Who cares how many chickens right? Just let them do their chicken stuff.

Whenever people ask me how many chickens I have I always say "a few".
I can't keep track either.

It gets difficult to count more than a dozen. "Enough for a couple good dinners" might be a good answer.

I'd have to answer "Enough for a neighborhood BBQ."  I just tell people what I have: Bees, Chickens, Turkeys, Goats, Sheep, Pigeons , 2 cats, and a dog.  If I gave them numbers they might wonder about my sanity.

It's much easier to count the ones you've eaten.   :-D

I can't give a number either, we just have "some" chickens...would be fair I think.

SgtMaj, we just keep track of the ones in the freezer. LOL
