Late December Cutout in Florida

The Florida Forest Service told be about some bees that have been in one of their buildings for several months maybe even a year that they would like to have removed.  The building is scheduled to be demolished and they would like the bees removed ASAP. Any problems removing bees from a wall this time of year that I should be aware of other than making absolutely certain to get the queen or should I wait until spring?

Wait until spring if you can. If something should happen to the queen (always a possibility) and they need to raise a new one the odds are against her being well mated now.

We should have drones flying in late Feb.

Thanks Scott.  I thought I knew the answer but wanted to double check before making a mistake. I spoke with the owner of the building today and was told that the bee removal can wait until the spring.  He would rather find the bees a new home rather than have them exterminated.

if the building is a frame structure why not go there with a chainsaw and take it home with you
