Title: Bear still out in PA?
Post by: 1of6 on December 10, 2008, 02:02:06 pm
Amazing - this past saturday 2 bear were spotted in the field 150 yards or less from my hives.     I'd really have thought that they were in hibernation already with all the cold weather we've been having.

Coincidentally, I checked and one of my insulators from the corner post had one of the fingers broken off of it.  It was the bottom strand, which I only have about 6 inches off the ground.  I wonder if it was stepped on or run into?  I bumped the wire as I was shutting the fencer off, and it's good and hot , so at least I feel better about that.

Is anyone else up this way or north still seeing their bear?
