What a week, starting Monday with temps as low as 8F with windchills 20 below and then the thaw Tuesday, and today the bees were flying in MASSIVE numbers. It was great to see them so active and I hope they get to peek their little heads out the door many more times until Spring.

Beemaster's right -- it IS quite variable here.  It was 52F at 6 am this morning.  But the forcast calls for a high of 38F for tomorrow, and only in the mid 20s over the weekend.  Go figure.

I'm looking at Dayton, Ohio and seeing the upcoming weather there. That's what we have coming Kris in the next 24-48 hours minus the snow I think. I think this is just a second chance to do the few things I haven't done to ready the house for Winter - so I better make use of it, there may not be another chance until Spring.

I was thinking about a "Honeybee Sweater Kit" a ball of yarn, two crochet needles and a set of instructions, all for just $19.95 plus S&H - lol. Something tells me it would actually sell, anything sells today.

You guys could have kept the stuff up there. It got into the 70s Monday. Dropped to 20s Tuesday. Snow and 20s Wednesday. This morning 18F. Icey spots on roads, about three more inches of snow in next 24 hours.

But hey. We'll have a white Christmas for the first time in a long time.

Jerrymac:

You mean a Snow for a white "Holiday" don't you??? You wouldn't want to NOT be politically Correct   Of course, saying snow is "White" may be offensive to some people too - ugh.

So maybe it should be (instead of a White Christmas) "we will have flakes, comprised of A very bright color which technically is the "presence" of all colors, holiday!" ... There, that's not too offensive - although I felt compelled to mention the Birth of Santa JUST to cover the bases - lol.

Ugh - I swear, the foolishness may never end.

Merry Christmas  :!:

If the wind starts blowing it could be brown snow.

You know Jimmy Dean was from this part of the country. He said this area is the only place he knows where one can be up to their butt in mud, (After a rain) and have dirt blowing into their eyes.

In my neck of the woods ( new england ), which by the way it was 7 yesterday and close to 60 today, we say " If you don't like the weather in new england,  wait a minute,  it'll change!
By the rude bridge that arched the flood
Their flag to Aprils breeze unfurled
Here once the embattled farmers stood
And fired the shot heard round the world
