Title: Drones are gone
Post by: BrentX on August 04, 2012, 01:57:31 pm
Did a quick inspection today,  all is well.  More honey ready to harvest in a couple weeks.

I did not see a single drone or drone brood.  Granted I did not look at every frame, or even every box.  There where plenty drones jus two weeks ago.  The flow has been better recently than prior years.  This is the earliest I have seen the drones disappear in my few years of beeking.

I am not worried about it, taking the lack of drones as the natural way of the bees.  I just found it curious at this time of year.

Seems too early to be loosing drones.  I had drones that last time I looked in my hives (about a week ago).
