How can I tell when a post was started I see the most recent post but not starting post date . Thank you . Brian

Try the 'search' engine on this site. Just type in an operative word or phrase.
Good luck, have fun and feel free to ask questions anytime.

Where it says it was started by a member soandso couldn't it have a start date below the members name. Brian

Are you asking how you know the start date of a thread? Look at the first post in the thread. For example, you started this thread today at 7:14:23. That date and time are under the thread title on the first post of the thread. Or do you mean you want to do an automated search by start date?

Yes the start date of the thread but didn't want to have to open every one to find out .Brian

Well, you can search by age of the post, which will usually be close to the age of the thread.

I guess if those are the only ways to find out the first post date then I would like to just make a suggestion that it would be a plus to be able to see the start date of a post without opening the thread or searching . Thank you I will suggest it to the moderator.

I'm not sure its really required, but I have tested this modification to work: http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=458837.0 (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=458837.0)
