My hives have very little to no stored honey in them. The bees seem fine. Will there be a sudden increase in stores as fall nears?

Depends on what kind of flow you have in the fall. Keep an eye on their stores, and if they're looking thin at the end of August, start feeding 2:1 syrup before it starts getting too cool.
