First top bar hive

I am starting a top bar hive am in wonder witch breed of bees would be better or if it would matter I have a Lang hive with Italians in it and am getting a nuc of Russians this weekend and wanted to see what kind of experences you all have had. Thanks for any info.

Same pros and cons for type of bees you want.  Type of hive doesn't matter.
