Title: Nuc is doing well

Hello

    Thank you all for your advice i did some work today on my hives and i took my first look in my five frame nuc that i had gotten. They are doing well and expanding they have plenty of brood and eggs and the queen is fat and happy. I smoked themm and they did not even try to sting and fly up into my face they are building comb and storing honey in it and they only have two drones that i could see in the whole hive. But hive two has to many drones but alot of them are falling to the ground and the birds are having a good old time but these drones are small and my black and grey drones are huge they are going and coming and i have seen some smaller workers but they are working good and they seem to be from some of the smaller cells but i am going to get a new queen for the nuc as i called betterbee has carniolan queens and they are mated with carni drones so i was told so i am going to give them a chance. I also changed my supers i took the one that was plastic covered foundation and put on my crimp wire super to see if they will jump on that.

Drones drift a lot.  They seem to be universially accepted regardless of which hive they came from or which hive they arrive at--unlike worker bees which unless loaded down with nectar is usually looked upon as a robber.  If the worker's loaded they're greeted with a come on in we'll be happy to take that off your hands.  A then the worker has joined a new hive.
