Hopefully I will get out a little this weekend. My season started yesterday.

Of course I am going on a bear hunt the beginning of next month and feel myself running out of time so I may focus on getting ready for that instead.

Good luck

When I was a child my father usually takes me to hunt red partridge, we have not salvage turkeys her. Actually I don´t hunt, but my mind, and my heart, are plenty of images, sounds and aromatics plants scent. (I would like to know whats the meaning of the sentences I wrote in english :-\ )

I changed the shotgun for the camera many time ago. Really I enjoy the rabbits running, ducks flying like mirages, red partridge singing like in the video, snakes, eagles...The shotgun disturbs the enchantment.

I have always loved to hunt, Kentucky is slowly pricing it out of reach.....I haven't bought a license yet this year, but we will see when fall comes around if I can keep from going out and buying one.

Funny how hunting used to be how poor people ate.  Now poor people can't afford it.

Last day of season today.  Hunted 23 of 31 days.  Closing in on Gobbler # 100. (Adult Toms)  Been a incredible lifetime of Turkey hunting.  Adirondack Mountains of NY state is quickly becoming an unknown "hot spot".

that is the reason I bought a lifetime license about 5 years back the states are taxing us to death so that the nonhunters can enjoy the outdoors go figure

Yeah Michael it is amazing.  That's how we got through the year when I was a kid.  Now with the prices jacking up again I may have to use it that way again.  Fortunately I have what I need and reload my own, which has also skyrocketed in cost.  The only hunting I've been able to do this past year is swarms and whats on VS or the OUTDR channels.

Very nice bird!!! Never killed one myself, I have a few friends that take 'em regularly and say hunting them is a lot of fun. They are such noisy birds huh?

They can be... or sometimes they wont make a sound and will be on top of you before you know it...

It is the most challenging thing I have ever done. It is as addictive as beekeeping!!!

It always seems there's a million of 'em around me during deer season, but in the spring they get outta dodge! :-D

Here's a pic of my wife and I while hunting in Hawaii last year. Thought I'd share it because it's such a cool pic. This year she killed a nice Georgia bird and I brought home a big New Mexico merriam's.

Wes, what a beautiful picture, what a catch.  Are you sure that you didn't come and get my tom turkey, Richard?   ;) :) :)  He looks about the same as one of them, he is what they call a Heritage turkey, very close to the wild turkey.  Beautiful and most wonderful day, Cindi

Yeah Cindi, don't have to worry about me takin' any of your turkeys, I like the ducks too much to fool with the big birds, besides, I'm a lurtle scared of Abegail!

Hey John, When we go on vacation something must die. :-D We were hunting on the big island it's the only one that allows non residents to hunt. We were at the top of Mauna Loa on a working cattle ranch that a friend of mine manages. The top is open land and pasture for grazing that's were the turkeys hang out. When we started back down the mt. it changed over into a rain forest what's where the pic was taken. One of the coolest things, beside being in Hawaii, was you could look one way and see snow caps and look the other way and see the ocean.
Nice pic Wes, they look HUGE!!

Not really were just small!!
