Assemble wedge top/split bottom frames
« on: February 23, 2008, 11:10:17 am »
I am new to beekeeping and I am assembling my wood frames.  Is it better to assemble them first with only one bottom bar so it is easier to install the bees wax foundations or will hammering the second bottom bar on possibly break the foundation?  I know I am suppose to push the nails through the wedge instead of hammering them to attach the foundation.

As long as the foundation is warm,it shouldn't break.I nail all the wedges wth a hammer

Dulley, welcome to our forum, you have found the right place to present your questions, and answers you will get, wait and see.  You are going to love the world of the honeybee, we are all under the "spell" of the honeybee, lovin' this critter.  Tell us about yourself, about how you got interested in the bees, we love to hear the stories, and again, welcome to our forum, have a wonderful and great day, love life.  Cindi
