After cutout, spray with Bee quick or something?

All right, sorry for all these newbee cutout questions.

When you do a cutout, do you just seal the entrance off or do you spray the inside with chemicals to keep them from returning or even future swarms?

I clean out all the comb and honey that I can and then seal it up good. It better be sealed up good! If you can leave the cavity open for a few days, other bees in the area will rob out all the honey for you.

Fill the void and seal the area. Bee-quick is only effective for a few hours. It does work good to get the last few bees out so they locate on the box.

I second what iddee said. I do use bee quick in some situations though. If I'm not sure if I've gotten the queen yet and bees scramble through a wire or plumbing passage into the next stud cavity I'll spray some through the opening to run them back out instead of having to pull off more siding or drywall. It works pretty well unless they've crawled past yet another stud.

I'd caution you to not use bee go in someone's house tho!
