Hello
I bought some ducklings, Pekin white, was wondering if anyone has any tips on care, i.e. temperature range, food, good time to let them swim, etc.? I am keeping them outside right now because it is about 80 during the day in FL.

I've got several books on them as I plan next year on getting a few geese and usually they are lumped together in the same books.
I wouldn't let them go in the water for several weeks. Without parents they don't have the sense to come in out of the rain, and also could easily drown. Speaking with my neighbor last night, that exact thing happened to him.
You can let them swim in in something shallow like a kids pool kept half full. It helps them stay clean, and is easier for them to drink that way. Just remember they have to have a way to get out so put a board in there so they can climb out.

a dog water bowl works the best due to it is shalow and easy to dump and they dont drown, I have raised about 50 or so ducks and the only time I lost one was a duckling that jumped in the mothers water bowl and got fliped upsidedown I am guessing, good luck :D
