When I first started looking on to getting bees I emailed 2 package bee suppliers in NSW. Only one got back to me and informed me that yes, they would sell me a package, but I would have to pick it up as they are not able to be sent by post or courier. So yes there are available, as long as you are within driving distance of the producer
Paul.

Hi OzBuzz, I know of a supplier of Packages Bee's who is about sixty K's North of me.  I got four Packages from him late last year and they are going well.
PM me and I will happily send you his details, from memory Packages are available from October to April.

Cheers
Steve

hey ozbuzz

I know a guy on kangaroo island that will deliver packages to you (providing you buy enough)

pity its not like the states where this post office is required by law to deliver bees through the mail system

The Australia Post lady that delivers our package was freaked out enough when I had a queen delivered, she wouldn't touch it, i had to go and pick it up out of her van for her  :-D
I'd hate to think what she would have been like if it had been a package of bees! :jawdrop:
