They tell me that bees have some kinda gland or secret weopen on their heads that tells them what angle to draw the comb. Its a miracle of nature I love it.

malabarchillin.  Very nice job of the photography, what a treat to have such a close look at some comb.  Wonderful day, beautiful day.  Cindi

Mick:

I understand it is simpler than that even, and as interesting as the Pryamids.

Their is a hair on EACH side of the workers face, as she turns her head on the RIGHT ANGLE (so that the SIDE HAIR LAYS FLAT ON HER FACE) the two SIDE ANGLES of comb are simple formed as these thin hairs touch the workers face - and the opposite angle from the other hair - BASICALLY THEY ARE PLUMB BOBS, it is THAT simple. Then you just connect the top and bottom with straight lines.

The interesting thing is it creates the MOST STORAGE AREA for the LEAST MATERIAL and FULLY BASED on the TRIANGLE - natures strongest shape.

Just cool stuff - I think I told you about how they ROLLED the stones in making the Pryamids - like rolling a can of soda: Toys were found in the Pryamids that allow a rectangular stone EASILY by adding round shaped pieces that were attached by a tar-like resin, to form the large flat stone into a log-shaped  stone that could EASILY be pulled up wiith simple BLOCK and TACKLE which was ued then. Many of the secrets of the Pryamids are being discovered today!

Great close-up photos!  What is the camera/lens you are using?
