Greetings!
« on: March 06, 2009, 04:17:00 pm »
Hi my name is Nick Hampshire and I am a beekeeper in NW Oregon. I use the Warre Hive and have used it for about 1 1/2 years.

Before that I have kept bees in the Langstroth Hive for 5-6 years.

To me natural beekeeping is the way to go. Bees first...in my mind.

I look forward to chatting with all on the forums.

Nick

Someone really ought to tell them that the world of Ayn Rand?s novel was not meant to be aspirational.

Welcome

Welcome.
"Power, especially overgrown power, whets the ambition and sets all the wits to work to enlarge it. Therefore, encroachments on peoples liberties are not generally made all at once, but so gradually as hardly to be perceived by the less watchful; and all plastered over, it may be, with such plausible pretenses, that before they are aware of the snare, they are taken and can not disentangle themselves."

Hi Nick.  Welcome.  I'm a new member myself.

I checked out your web site and got your info on the Warre top bar hive.  Looks interesting.  I just ordered some Langstroth hives this week, but I might experiment with top bar in my 2nd year.
