This removal was done at an Industrial plant in Chalmette, Louisiana. This is a new colony, perhaps 3-5 weeks old max. Now they reside in Raceland, Louisiana thanks to my good buddy Bailey, who secured me a great beeyard there. The bees got a lil pissy early in and I got popped on the cheek, so I put the veil on. Got one sting on the hand after that. They mellowed greatly as the removal progressed, as you will see in the video. They were making a very good, very dark honey, but I don't know the source.

Aron and I watched this video together and Aron could not believe how you just put your hands into the pile of bees and kept throwing them into the box without getting stung. Very exciting video. I think you can start your very own DVD on doing cutouts, swarms, etc. Think about it.

(OH by the way, Aron said you were a nice looking guy (I agree :-*), with a nice looking wife) On this video you can really see your face.) Off Topic!!

Anyway, really enjoy the video. I think getting this camera was the best thing you ever did.

Annette, just wait til "the princess bee diaries" take shape and Irwin and I are seen riding around on our little cycles in drag. You and Aron will undoubtedly change your minds. 8-)

I am really enjoying putting these videos together! Hope y'all like them and get something out of them.

What I didn't mention in the video is that early in the removal I believe a small piece of fiberglass insulation got into my right eye. I washed my eye out several times with a saline solution on site but my cornea must have had a scratch on it.

My eye watered and the scratch was agonizing. I was better yesterday afternoon thanks to some eye gel from Walgreen's drugstore and TLC from my wife.

The drive back to my house that night was the longest 15 miles I have ever driven in my entire life.

Vermmy, that's a good question, maybe ten minutes or so. My right eye was scratched and watering badly, the area where the remaining bees were congregated was dark and I was using the built in light from the camera and using my left eye which doesn't appear to see as good as my right and I was filming with my left hand, but loving every minute of it!
