How to find the better thrteads
« on: June 06, 2014, 12:54:52 pm »
When I check out a forum, I click twice on the top of the first page of a forum where it says 'Views'.

The first click sorts the total list with least viewed at the top and the second puts the most viewed at the top. Then I can read the most popular threads, which are generally popular for a reason. I can find out about the things that I didn't know I wanted to find out about.

Next I do the same thing on the 'Replies' column. Same reason.

Then I go back to normal viewing based on the latest threads.
Cheers

Okay, but do we reply to really old threads?

Ray,
Why not as long as it is still relevant. Some people will reply to an old thread just to wake it up.
JP does this quite often.

Sounds good Jim. I've only seen older posts used to answer newly posted questions that have been thoroughly hashed out. Not being critical of anyone. Just asking.

If the threads are still relevant, replying or asking a question in that thread is fine. That is one of the nice things about the forum as opposed to the facebook pages. A searchable database from the beginning as well as being commercial free! :)

Not only is it commercial free, it has the best format. I do not like the way most of the other forums are set up.
This one is very easy to use and read.

I agree with the praise. This forum is one of the best ones on anything.

Here! Here!

I second the notion.

That's one reason I really didn't look much further when I started out on this forum. Heck, it's pretty simple. You don't need a manual to figure out how to get around the threads. John and I were talking and when he ask me what I liked about the forum I pretty much said what we all have just said.
When the law no longer protects you from the corrupt, but protects the corrupt from you - then you know your nation is doomed.
